TP Media India Ltd., an Indian Public Limited Company and its associate TPNEX Inc., New Jersey, USA have 10 years strong experience in building scalable online communities. On October 7, 2000, when Internet was expensive and limited to few companies in major cities in India, the founders Prasad Kunisetty (KVNM Prasad) and his wife Satyavani Nagavarapu started TeluguPeople.com from their home office with less than Rs.10,000 budget. Within months, TeluguPeople.com became a brand among Telugus all over the world.

Almost 10 years later, in Apr, 2009 when almost every middle class family has an Internet Connection and a Mobile Phone, TP Media has decided to expand its reach to entire India - with a community based approach. As part of the expansion, the first site we decided to launch is for the Gujarati community! In the next few months to come, we will be starting exclusive sites for other Indian communities by language, by interest and in some cases by Region and by Utility.
